Ipsy Sneak Peek December 2014

A sneak peek of December's Glam Bag!

YES! This is a great sneak peek! I LOVE the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara. It is just a great, volumizing mascara. The formula is a little wet and doesn't clump together your lashes. The wand coats evenly and doesn't create a spidery look. I haven't experienced smudging or flaking with this at all so overall I am happy about the sample. The NYX butter lip balm is a really great item to get for December. The colder months produce super chapped lips so being able to have a balm on you will help with this problem. For me and my Florida life, I will probably not suffer too much from the cold weather or chapped lips but, it is always something I can use if I don't feel like wearing a lipstick.
What do you think of next month? Are you excited? Have you subscribed or are thinking about subscribing? Comment down below your thoughts!

November 2014: Give it a Shot or Not?

I have a growing makeup up collection and it is getting worse. So, to counter this, I am going to try and give some products a shot or throw them out. Here are the products I am considering:

The first is the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer. I like the packaging on the product because it is simple and easy to use. The concealer however, has super light coverage and the lightest shade was a little too warm toned for me. I think if you were looking for a highlighting concealer this is the perfect product for you. For that reason, I am going to keep it for my night out with the girls or special occasions in which I want to have that great contouring effect.

The +Sephora Enchanting Eye Palette is something I literally just forgot I even had. I am SO glad I found this because it is awesome! The shade range is great! There is a mix of matte and shimmer shades in which you can create soft day looks and smokey night looks. The pigmentation is fantastic and the shades feel soft and buttery, I will definitely keep this one.

I honestly don't know why I bought this. What was going through my mind was probably "I need to be more adventurous with my eye looks". No. Just No. I love these L'Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quads (this is in Brazen Bold, fitting right?) but, this is just not my thing. These are pigmented and soft but, there is a lot of fall out. I will keep this because of the pearl and purple color because I do love it. I will try to use the bright gold and teal but, I doubt I'll use it much. Basically, my plan is to get a z-palette so I can de-pot my singles and clear up some space.

BLUE! I love this Flower Beauty Shadow Play Eyeshadow Quad in Blue Lagoon is very pretty. I love the shades and the pigmentation is great. The one thing is that these have some great fall out. But, if you can get past that, these are really easy to blend and create a great day or night look.

Another hidden treasure! The +COVERGIRL Smoky Shadowblast Cream Shadow is fantastic (if you can't tell yet, I love blue). This is incredibly easy to use and doesn't require any primer. It will last all day and is incredibly easy to apply. I will definitely use this!

The +Sephora Single Eye Shadow in Ballet Shoes is really pretty but, HOLY Fall out! The glitter in this bad boy goes everywhere on your face! I will not keep this because I honestly just can't use it. The Essence 3D Irresistible Mermaid Kiss is also blue (I know I have a problem). This is a fantastic looking product. The left side (lighter blue) is raised and actually is "3D". The pigmentation is pretty good and the shadows feel soft. I think this is a great topper to the Covergirl Shadowblast.

Nope. I will already tell you that I am not keeping these Sephora Cream Smoky Eyeliner. These were awful. They started drying out after the first use. They are incredibly hard to use and not easy to apply. I only spent $3.00 on this because it was on clearance and I still feel like I wasted my money. The swatches below were an incredible pain in my behind to create, Just stay away from these!

This Revlon Bronzer in Sunkissed Bronze is incredibly gorgeous. It is a great tone for my skin! It has a little bit of glitter but not a great amount. It has more of a sheen to it than anything else. I don't know why I have used this more often! Definitely a keeper!

The Wet n Wild Lipsticks (the $1.0 ones) are really hit and miss. I like the pigmentation but they are not long wearing at all. Even after only an hour, you can see them disappearing. The packaging also is really cheap. The far left one (514 A Cherry Frost), the lipstick itself keeps sliding up and down and it will not lock in the all the way down space. The tip actually smashed into the top of the clear cover. Now, these are super creamy and won't dry your lips but, I feel like there are better options. I will keep 502A Dark Pink Frost and 508A Black Orchid because I litterally don't have any similar colors. Even if I have to reapply, these are perfect fall and winter shades.

Shades Left to Right: 514A Cherry Frost, 502A Dark Pink Frost, 521A Fuchsia with Blue Pearl, 552A Just Garnet, 508A Black Orchid.
What do you think? Should I have gotten rid of more or less? Is there somethin you liked that I didn't? Comment down below!

+eleventhgorgeous is one of the best youtubers around. I have always loved watching their videos and I think they are one of the most informative and fun around. Their channel got disabled because someone flagged it for being "inappropriate" and their channel has been disabled for two weeks. I literally don't even know why they would be. They make literally everything family friendly and never make inappropriate comments or gestures. These girls are amazing and don't deserve to have this happen to them. If you can, make #bringbackeleventhgorgeous trending on any social media and tag +YouTube, they truly deserve any and all support. Go and watch their videos and I guarantee you will love them as much as I do!

ELF Haul Part 2: Lips

I did a a haul on +e.l.f. Cosmetics website during their 50% off sitewide sale and I went crazy. This part of the haul is all about lip products. I got some basic must have from the +e.l.f. Cosmetics and some newer introductions. Here they are:
The first product I got was the Lip exfoliator. This was literally the first product I added to my cart because I knew I needed to try it. It smells literally like brown sugar and looks like a combination of brown sugar and cream. The first time I tried it, it was fantastic. It was very moisturizing and made my lips super smooth. The next few times I tried it, I noticed the creamy part started to depreciate and the product felt more gritty and harsh. I found that if you lick your lips first, the product will be way less harsh. I still love it though and I feel like it is definitely a product I will use quite often.

LIPSTICK!! The E.l.f. moisturizing lipstick was something I really have wanted to try for quite a while. After trying these for quite a while, I found that the name lived up to the product. These are extremely creamy and feel great on the lips. For the light shade which is Party in the Buff, I found that it looked patchy on my lips. I don't know why because the others (Pink Minx and Rosy-go-round) didn't give this appearance. I have tried exfoliating my lips. putting on a balm and a liner to see if this would help but, it still hasn't. For me, I was disappointed because I know how much some bloggers and youtubers rave about it. The Pink Minx shade, which is a classic soft pink, was amazing. I loved the pigmentation, it stayed on for about 5 hours before I needed to reapply and it made my lips feel hydrated. The Rosy-go-round, which is a classic red-pink bright lip color, was very similar except I felt I needed to reapply more often. For only $3.00. these lipsticks are worth a shot.
This is by far my favorite lip product out of the bunch. The Elf Matte Lip Color has a fantastic packaging. I love the smaller stick size because it is much easier to control the application and you will be less likely to color outside the line. The packaging also comes with a built in sharpener (you take off the color bottom of the packaging) to keep the point sharp. The product itself is great. There is no shine and the color payoff is great. I found them to be creamy and not drying. I got tea rose (bottom), Coral (middle) and Praline (top). The only thing I don't like is that there are only 6 shades in the line. I plan only buying the other 3 when they run the site 50% again.

The last product I got was the Elf Lustrous Liquid Lipstick. This shade is Pink Lemonade. It really is a liquid lipstick By that, I mean it is very pigmented and not sticky or really glossy feeling. It has a more creamy texture. You can wear this alone or on top of an actual lipstick. I love pairing this with Rosy-go-round. One thing I will say is you have to twist this for quite awhile until product comes out and there seems to be a lot less product than I thought. But, at only $1, it is very easy to restock.

Well, that's it for the lips part. The face part of the haul is coming up soon. Have you tried any of the Elf lip products? What's your favorite? What's your least favorite? Any must haves I should get? Comment done below!

Elf Haul Part 3: Face

The finale you have all been waiting for! The face product of my elf haul! Probably my second favorite part after the lips because I love me some blush! Here are all the products I decided to try out:
So I actually made a mistake when purchasing the stipple brush. Since I got cream blush, I needed a brush to blend it with. I wanted the SMALL stipple brush instead of this one. I have no idea what to do with this product yet.The powder brush on the other hand is really awesome. It is quite soft and easily applies both loose and pressed powder. It is definitely worth the $3.00.
This Elf tone correcting in cool powder product is weird. It doesn't have much pigmentation so I am not sure how color correcting it is. When I swatched it, it was basically all white. I would have taken a picture but, it didn't show up on camera. I will still use it and give an update later.

This Elf Studio Bronzer in Warm is a great product! I love that you can make it as dark or as light as you can. For days I don't feel like contouring, I use the lightest shade to give a little glow. This is a great way to create a personalized for when your tan in the summer and pale in the winter.

The Elf Studio Countouring Blush and Bronzer in St.Lucia is kinda weird. The bronzer is very pigmented and blendable. The bronzer is a great tone for many skin types. The blush, however, is not nearly as pigmented. It takes A LOT of product in order to show up on the skin. There is also a ton of glitter in the blush shade which I don't like. I think this would be a great blush topper or even highlight but, I really won't you this as a blush.

The Studio blushes in Candid Coral and Passion Pink are very interesting. Passion Pink is a gorgeous bubblegum pink. It doesn't have glitter in it and feels super soft on the skin. I find it easy to blend and it has the right amount of pigmentation. It is not like some blushes were even the slightest tap is way too much. It is just the right amount. Candid Coral I found to be a lot like the St. Lucia blush above. It has a lot of glitter and it is very hard to give off the coral color. I think this would also be a great blush topper or highlighter and I like to pair it with the Candid Coral.

The Baked Highlighter in Blushed Gems is absolutely gorgeous. It is a great slightly pink color and gives a nice, natural glow to the skin. The Baked Bronzer in St. Lucia is definitely my favorite bronzer. The natural sheen to the skin makes you look like you have incredibly healthy skin. I actually like the baked bronzer better than the one in the contouring duo. I would recommend these highly.

The HD Cream Blushes from Elf are really great. The pigmentation is off the charts! It literally is so easy to go overboard so a super light hand is needed. With that being said, you will get a great number of uses out of this product. I really like the staying power of this. I put it on in the morning and it will stay all day long. The shades below are Superstar, Diva and Headliner.

Last but certainly not least is the Elf Eyebrow kit in medium. I have never really done my eyebrows before so this is a great kit for beginners. It is really easy to use and your brows will stay in shade all day. This shade is a great match for me because I am a medium-ish brunette. When applying, it was easy to create a natural brow look and it didn't loo fake.

Well that is the grand finale! I hope you enjoyed this haul. What are your favorite Elf products. What products should I try next! Comment down below!

Dollar Tree Haul

It's another Dollar Tree Haul! I picked up a lot of Milani, Sally Hansen and Essie. I was very surprised at some of the products available at Dollar Tree because when I went to Ulta (when I did my Ulta Haul), I saw some of the products still available at full price! Here is what I got:

The first thing I tried was the Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss. I was pretty disappointed with these. I saw the really pretty purple shade and thought it would be super pigmented but, they aren't. They are uncomfortable and you can feel the glitter in top of your lips. I think if you were wanting just a glitter topper then they are okay because the lipstick color will still show through. But, even at a dollar, I don't think they are worth it. It would be a much better product if the glitter was finely milled. The used to retail at Walmart for $6.47 so it was an 85% savings.
 39 Fashion Diva
  Starshine

The Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liner was a hit for me! It is very pigmented and dries fast. I found it to be very long wearing and just a super value for only $1.00! Definitely go pick it up if you can! This retails for $7.99 on Milani's website which is a 87.5% savings!
This tiny little eyeshadow pot in 14 Blue Ice is very pigmented and I think a perfect size for a single shadow! I find that my single shadows expire before I can even use them up so having a smaller size means I might be able to actually use up all the product. This product retails for about $4.99 on ebay!

The Sally Hansen Nail Strips are a little weird. I don't find them to be very adhesive to the nails and I find them hard to stay on even after constant pressing on the nail. For $1.00, they're still a really great value (Retail: $9.99 at Ulta) at 90% off so if you prefer this to painting your nails, it still is worth it to try.
There will be an update coming on the nail strips soon. I haven't tried the Essie and one of the Sally Hansen Nail Strip yet so I feel it's unfair to talk about them since I haven't tried them! So look out for that post! As always leave any comments down below and join my community or follow this blog on bloglovin!

What's in my November 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag

Let's first take a moment to appreciate this adorable makeup bag! I LOVE it!
The first thing I got in my bag was a Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Base. I'm actually really excited about this one because I don't own any eye bases of any brand this should be interesting! (Retail: $14)
Next in my Bag is an Elizabeth Mott You're So Fine Liquid Eyeliner. I love the name. I actually recently lost my E.l.f. liquid liner in Black so hopefully this is in black to! (Retail: $18)
The J. Cat Beauty Wonder Paint is coming in my bag and I am VERY excited! This product seems super fun to try and I heard it is a dupe for OCC lip tars! (Retail: $5)
I got the Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray! That is a LONG title. I actually never really use hairspray so this product is okay to me. (Retail: $9)

Last, but certainly not least, is the Temptu Highlighter! I am really excited because I literally own two highlighters (Benefit's watts up and E.l.f. baked highlighter) so I would love to add another to my collection! (Retail: $27.50)

Do you subscribe to Ipsy? If yes, then you can see your glam bag early by sharing a post on Facebook! What do you think of my bag? Do you think it will be a good value? Comment down below!

November 2014 Ipsy Sneak Peek #2

I WANT EVERYTHING IN THIS PICTURE (except the starlooks gloss). This picture has fulfilled me inner lip junkie! We have a mixutre of glosses, lipsticks, chubby sticks, lip paints and a random nail polish. Here are the products from above:
  • Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in Party Bus (mayber)
  • CK One Color High Shine Lip Gloss in Faithful (limited edition color)
  • Starlooks Lip Gloss in Guilty Pleasure
  • Love and Beauty Cosmetics Matte Lipstick by Forever 21 in Fuscia
  • L.A. Colors Chunky Lip Pencil in either Wine or Lilac (super similar colors)
  • Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain in Lady and the Vamp
  • J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint in Queen of Hearts
This round of products seem intriguing. I swear though, if I get another Starlooks lipgloss, I will loose it. That is the one thing that bothers me about Ipsy is they like to reuse products A LOT. I want to try the L.A. Colors Chunky Lip Pencil and the J. Cat Wonder Lip Pencil because their are at least 18 shades for each line! So, if you fall in love with one, there are TONS of options to look at. I really don't want the Love and Beauty because I really haven't heard many good reviews of Forever 21 cosmetics. But, we'll just have to wait and see. Are you excited for this month? Do you subscribe to Ipsy? Comment down below!

November 2014 Ipsy Sneak Peek #1

Holy Glam Bag! The theme of this month is "Girl Meets Glitter" and I believe literally everyone will love this bag. Between the number of high end products you could get and a product from Michelle Phan's Em cosmetics, this month should be awesome.
Here are some other sneak peeks released earlier:
  • Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn and Trophy Wife

I honestly can't figure out these products so your guess is as good as mine!

What do you think of this month? Are you excited, neutral or disappointed? Sound off in the comments below!

Ulta Haul November 2014

Recently Ulta released a 20% off your entire purchase including the prestige brands of cosmetics. I decided it was a great time for me to buy some products I have always wanted to try. Here is what I decided to pick up:
This is a mini haul of only three products (but, three amazing products). I picked up Urban Decay's Vice 3 Palette and 24/7 Concealer Pencil and, Benefits's Porefect Couple (Porefessional and Total Moisture Facial Cream).

The Benefit Porefect Couple ($32.00) was a necessity. I ran out of my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Primer and decided to try a high end brand. I have seen sooooooooooooo many bloggers and youtubers rave about the product and thought I would see if it was worth the hype. Oh yes it is, I have never seen my pores so small! It made my face feel incredibly soft and it made my makeup last. I am sold and I doubt I will ever buy a different primer. I would personally get the combo pack at Ulta because for a $1.00 more, you get a moisturizer sample or a concealer sample (the concealer sample combo was not at my Ulta). I don't know how well you can see this picture but, my pores are basically non existent and my fine lines were smoothed over.
The total moisturizer sample is amazing. My pores aren't clog after using it. The cream is very soft and makes my skin feel super soft and hydrated. I have a simple moisturizer that I am in love with too and I feel like even though the Benefit one is great, I can't justify the $42.00 price tag for a full size when I only spend $10.00 for the Simple moisturizer. \
The Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil ($19.00) is an amazing concealer. I was hesitant about a stick concealer because they typically super dry and hard to apply but, that is not this concealer. Holy Moses is this creamy. Seriously though, this could be in a jar form because it is that creamy. The color is very pigmented and the coverage is fabulous. This concealer is great for covering blemishes and under the eyes. I have not seen this concealer crease yet so I am very happy with this purchase.
If you hadn't heard about it yet, you will hear about it now. The Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette is a $60.00 palette with 20 matte and shimmer shades. The shades range from neutral colors to bright pinks, blues and greens. The eyeshadow is GORGEOUS. Urban Decay Palettes hves always been known for their fantastic pigmentation, buttery soft texture and great shade selection. This palette definitely lives up to that. For someone who has always gone towards neutral shades, this palette provides a great way to expand past your comfort zone. The palette still includes awesome neutrals ranging from cream to brown but, the truly amazing shades are from the fun colors of red, orange, green, blue, purple and pink. For me, this palette was really something I needed. The only eyeshadow palette I own is the Lorac Pro Palette. Don't get me wrong, the Lorac will still be one of the best palettes in existence but, the Vice 3 will definitely find itself up there as a must have.

The palette comes in a super cute makeup bag that seems to be very durable and not flimsy.

Here are the shades that come in the palette. Look at that brush too! The brush is actually amazing for packing on the eyeshadow and creating definition in the crease!

My camera is kind of awful so some of the lighter shades didn't pick up but, look at those greens and blues! They are absolutely stunning. Are you going to pick up this great palette from Ulta or Sephora? Is there another new palette I am totally missing? Sound off in the comments below!
